Instructions
Creative Format
- Select a non-Western culture or country and investigate its resistance to Eurocentrism and colonialism.
- Create a seven-slide multimedia presentation:
- Include images, videos, and animations to convey cultural expressions of resistance.
- Describe the resistance efforts and their impact on social institutions (e.g., education, policies, governments), with one example per slide.
- Structure the presentation to include:
- An overview of the topic.
- Characteristics of the selected culture or country.
- Examples of resistance efforts and their impact.
- Add a reflection slide explaining the symbolism and significance of the artworks used in the presentation.
- Include a letter from a Writing Center consultation to demonstrate how their support informed your outline, artwork selection, or ideas.
Grading Criteria
- Creativity and effectiveness of multimedia presentation (40%).
- Depth and relevance of examples (30%).
- Clarity of structure and organization (20%).
- Reflection on symbolism and Writing Center consultation (10%).
